The STORY

ENZO PAGANI - 1960
Museum Pagani of Modern Art was founded by ENZO
PAGANI, born in Legnano (Milano, Italy) in 1920. The son of a church
decorator, as a child he followed the father at work. That was the
origin of his vocation for painting.
He graduated at Academy of Brera in Milano and took part to
important artistic and cultural movements. He was sculptor,
mosaicist, and also art merchant.
In the Forties and Fifties he opened Galleries Pagani
del Grattacielo, first at Legnano and after in Milano, Via Brera.
During all his life he was committed to all movements dealing with
resarch on culture and art, domestic as well international. He also
was a talent scout and a pioneer.
In 1957 Enzo Pagani started the great endeavour to
found his park - museum, an utopian dream that became reality thanks
to his love for art and restless tenacity.
Enzo Pagani also took part intensively to political
and social life and was awarded with many prestigious certificates
for artistic and cultural merits.
